Theresa Windus

Theresa WindusDr. Theresa Windus joins the faculty in August 2006 as a full Professor. She earned her Ph.D. from Iowa State University in 1993 and did post-doctoral research at Northwestern University. Theresa was also the Director of Computational Chemistry/Training at Ohio Supercomputer Center and the Computational chemistry lead at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Major Shared Resource Center. Most recently, she was the manger of the Molecular Science Software Group and the Visualization and User Services group in the Molecular Science Computing Facility in the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

Lonnie Crosby

Lonnie CrosbyPh.D. Computational Chemistry, University of Memphis, 2007;M.S. Physical Chemistry, University of Memphis, 2004;B.S. Chemistry, Arkansas State University, 2001

My interests are mainly in the areas of material science, molecular optics, and chemical kinetics. The research I participated in at Arkansas State University focused on time-resolved spectroscopy of molecules for optical sensing applications. Graduate school at The University of Memphis gave me the opportunity to expand into computational chemistry. Various computational projects included prediction of electron spin resonance hyperfine interactions, chemical kinetics, and the spectroscopy of defects within materials. Exploring the properties of weakly bound molecular clusters is the emphasis of current work at Iowa State University. The properties of interest include reaction kinetics, and spectroscopy.
